Breathing down into the belly

Comment - Amazing how just being mindful of the breath, without judgment, can keep the mind in the present moment, free from the past or the future. It helps me so much with my asthma and COPD. Whenever I notice that the mind drifts into the past or the future, I simply bring the mind right back to either the nostrils or the belly.
Comment - Lovely feel so much better in a few minutes.
Reply - Yes, breathing Slow and Low wins the race. :-)

Comment - Practicing returning to my breath, with openness and kindness to myself,
Such a beautiful and simple (not easy) exercise to cultivate compassion - Thank you.
Comment - The practice of meditation and the breath, allows the breath to anchor me, and also allows me to pause, to take time for compassion for myself, and compassion towards others.
Reply - The breath is so very wonderful. It is always in the present moment.
We can take refuge in the breath. Calmly Abiding with the sensations of in, out & resting.
The breath has much for us to learn from. :-)
Respectfully, Ross
